WORKSHOP - BUILDING UP A REGIONAL AND NATIONAL BIO HUB. with Knud Erik DTI Denmark
Within the scope of TRIE research center and the Design Master for the Circular Economy, an intensive workshop will was held at ISMAT on the 3rd and 4th of July, open to the participation of Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurs of Bioeconomy and Biodesign.
The Workshop was led by Senior Specialist and Expert on Sustainable Innovation Knud Erik Hilding-Hamann from DTI – Danish Technology Institute, and aimed to present the model that his co-researcher for the creation of BIO HUB Denmark. DTI has done a notable job related to the development of “Biobased Businesses”, and this is one of the biggest challenges for the coming years, the transition from a society based on fossil raw materials to a society based on renewable biological resources.
We had the active participation of local bioeconomy entrepreneurs: SALIVITE, a company that produces and transforms Salicórnia raw material into healthy and innovative products, and GRIBB, producer Urban Mushrooms and creator of innovative products from this raw material.
In this way, TRIE and the Master of Design for the Circular Economy, the Degree in Communication Design at ISMAT continue their pioneering work in Portugal to help companies, entrepreneurs, designers, the creative community, the sustainable community and territories to recognize the paths for the Green Transition that Europe has set as a challenge and that we all so badly need.
